ABOUT

Hood vs Hood is a one day soccer tournament that was created for women in Seattle, Washington. There are like a million tournaments for men all year round and only a couple for women. I just wanted to play. So, last year I pulled every string of my soccer network and created my own futsal-style (Brazilian indoor soccer) tournament - and it was AWESOME! Hood vs Hood brought out 6 teams of 5 women each to represent different neighborhoods in Seattle. There were women from all different backgrounds and abilities, ranging from ages 21 to 40. The vibe was incredible and felt like something that had been missing in the Seattle soccer scene. The only problem was that I had to borrow ALL of the equipment, which really limited the flexibility and growth of the tournament. Hence, the reason for this project. I am hoping to purchase all of our own equipment so that I can continue to grow it and provide more soccer opportunities for women to get together and play!

I am committed to this project and hope that you can join me!
